Do I need the Accounting module?

Yes. Manufacturing Journal requires Accounting Basic or higher for ledgers, vouchers, and inventory GL.

Does this replace the Manufacturing product module?

No. This is the accounting journal with full WIP/FG GL. The optional Manufacturing module at /manufacturing remains separate.
